I do so many things so check back for frequent up dates
I absolutely love nature I only ever feel happy or at peace when surrounded by
nature, as if for that brief time I am at one with everything and know complete harmony.
Weather cleaning up the property, working in my garden or grooming my bunns I feel
a satisfaction that no job I have ever had even comes close to, they were all just shadows
of my true purpose.
For as long as I can remember I have had a strong desire to build a life based on a
closeness to nature such as our ancestors once valued long ago. As a kid I would sit in the
woods all day, day after day just reading, doing art or watching the world around me,
If it ran, crawled slithered, swam or flew I would pic it up and play with it. It used to give
my mom such a fright.
My Dad was cost guard and we moved ever three or four years giving me the
opportunity to live in so many different Eco systems as well as meet lots of different kinds
of people, It also made it difficult to get to know any one place or the people as intimately
as I would have liked. Even with all the moving I did every thing I could to learn about
nature, animal husbandry and art. In 1998 I went to the art Institute for graphic design
graduating in 2000. Graphic design is nice and I would absolutely love to some day
Illustrate fantasy book covers but at this time in my life I feel like there is some much more
for me in working on my farm as my own boss developing my own business.
I would really love to spend more time exploring and learning how to identify and use the local plant life.  I am particularly interested in Herbal medicine and nutritionally valuable edibles.

I have also piked up Craft of the DyerColor from plants and Lichens a book by Casselman  at Jun fair 2012.

Life has Defiantly been a challenge, Over the last 10 years I was lucky if I could live in one place for more than a year. Land lords will tell you what ever you want to hear to get your money then once they have it, all bets are off. I worked for Michael's from 2008 tell Jun 2012, it is really difficult to live off of minimum wage when no one want to give retail workers a full time job any more. Its easier to hire twice as many part timers than pay benefits to full time employees. All in all I don't think there is any one out there that doesn't see where the system is taking life in this country. This country started as towns where the people worked together to provide the essentials of life. The states and national government protected the people. Now though Big money has there fingers in every thing, they tell us what to eat and how to live our lives and we let them. Well I want out of that system, I want my life and my choices back. As much as possible I want to grow and make what I can to make our life's happy and healthy. When possible it would be nice to trade for the rest. Maybe it can make a difference in our little world.
A little about my dream for my farm

Not my most productive day :) Tue the 29th
So My dad called Just as James and I were heading out the door so he could catch his ferry.
Dad and I have been trying to find a good time to pic up some pallets so I can create my Tree boxes. I really need to work on getting 15 to 20 pallet planters built for my trees, vines and bushes :)
the move was at the worst time for my trees (August)that were in pots in the ground the pots helped keep most of the roots in but the larger trees had busted out and had grown deep, in order to get the trees out of the ground I and to the new house I had to expose those longer tap roots and they have been exposed for the last 2 months :( I think If I can get them planted soon they should recover by spring but they may not produce fruit next year.

After getting the Pallets I figured I should just go ahead and re-new my drivers license Joy. Nothing like another year gone and more to get done LoL.

Finally got home around 4 or so.
From 5 to 7 a few evening chores along with Feed and watered every one.
Now I am just spending the rest of the evening Just doing Landry.

I told my self i would stay in side and take it easy LoL
that never seams to happen Probably because being in side doesn't make me happy or feel at peace (more like in peaces) so Out I go at 4 to cut black berry Vines :)

Oky so i dint spend as much time on black berry vines as i had planed but it all worked out well any way I cleared a little more of the fence and was able to get the tall rabbit tracker out of the side yard where the bids are and into the back yard area where all the grass is they are supper happy :)
As usual feed and water form 6 to 7. I finally finished up out side around 7:30

Another Year another new rental Home
So a few months ago I had to say goodbye to my wonderful little farm out in Kent. The land lord has wanted to sell that place for a while and he finally got an offer so rather than waiting it out through out the buying process we went ahead and found another place in our price range (only ish $700)
Unfortunately this place is only 1/2 acre and the neighbor are way to close for my comfort But you work with what you can afford. Hopefully this place will only be fore a couple of years while we try to work on our credit and our income so we can afford to buy A place of our own.
On the up side Its has at least 3 to 5 good fruit trees and and lots of black berry vines to feed the rabbits LoL
It will take me a while to clean up the out side But the neighbor to our right is a wonderful guy and has already broken ground in a small area out back. i hope to till the entire back and side yard before next spring so i can re-seed for the birds and rabbit as well as start a small garden to feed the family and animals :)
I am also closer to my parents and can help them with there garden so that's really nice as well :)
All an all with all the changes in my life I thought this would be a good time to start a journal about how to build a small farm for those who might like to try it or just appreciate how much work goes into growing food to feed your soul and body :)
So I keep saying (for years) that I am going to start writing a journal of what I did that day so I know just how much time I spend on farm work. Mostly y'all should just ignore my daily rambles.
A day In the Life
I cant even explain how much I miss my little farm home back in Kent.
