Hand felted.
This beautiful scarf and matching wrist warmer set was hand felted by me using wool from my angora rabbits blended with premium sheep's wool for ultimate warmth, softness and durability. Whether a treat for your self or as a gift for a loved one this beautiful work of art will last a life time and possibly more when cared for properly (hand wash only).
A little about this peace: The scarf is 56 in long, between 6 and 7 in wide though out most of the length, fanning out just a little at the ends to 9 in wide. The wrist warmers are 10 long and 4.5 inch wide The front is a beautiful blend of dark navy blue, light aqua blue, purple, and finally a touch dark mauve. The back is a lovely blend of mauve soft satin angora white and just a touch of purple.
To make this piece I started out by dieing 4 different batches of angora and wool and a fine sheep's wool, doing my best not to get the colors to even or consistent during the dieing process I really wanted a lot of verity in the colors for a visually pleasing blend of the complementary colors. Next I had to hand card each batch in to shoe boxes so that the angora wool and sheep's wool would have a nice soft and durable finished texture when felted.
Finally I could get to the felting, starting with a layer or pure gray satin angora (from my black satin angora rabbits) layered on top of potato paper. Then on top of that I slowly added layer after layer of the hand died, hand carded Angora and sheep's wool blend. I felted it just a little in the dryer from time to time to help the colors separate just a little and to identify any spots that might be a little weaker so I could add additional fiber to those areas. The finished piece being this beautiful set made with lots of love for both my craft and my farm. This Set is only $120

I have been breeding quality satin angoras for almost 10 years now, working to create my own sustainable organically raise rabbit line with the highest quality of life I can proved for them. I spend many hours each week caring for the satin angoras as well as grooming, creating and maintaing there housing along with harvesting greens. Each satin Angora only proves 5 to 15 ounces of this Luxurious Soft shimmering fiber a year, in my opinion one of the rearrest fiber in the world. I harvest the fiber by combing or plucking when the satin angoras are shedding only sheering them when the situation calls for a bald bunny out of there normal shedding cycle, such as with rabbits that mat easily or when the weather is dangerously hot.
All my art is painstakingly created with love and lots of my time and talent.

Fibers over 1.5 inches long but under 3 inches will be carded by hand then used for felting both in there natural color
and after being died. I am able to felt both pure sating angora fiber as well as blended fibers. Some times I blend the
fibers during the carding other times It is carefully layered in amongst the many layers that make up my artistic felting a
minimum of 2 days per piece but some taker weeks to finish.

Each is about 4 in wide and 12 long. The red back ground is single ply pure satin angora that has been knit then felted, the felted patterns are a blend of black satin angoras and red Mohair.
My very first ever attempt at felting turned out just perfect.
I would prefer to see it go to some one that will cherish it rather than have it end up in the back of some dust old drawer in my craft room.
Created in Agust 2009 this little purse (6.5 x 4.5 when closed) is just absolutely charming with blue spirals in a variety of hues over a warm gray back ground, with a soft satin chocolate liner.
Just needs a button or two to fasten shut. I can even attach some thing for you no cost but the cost of supplies (the button or latch) just let me know what you like (wood, metal excreta)
