I offer full service environmentally friendly small scale land clearing without no heavy machinery. No loud machine noises, no fumes, no chemical waste.
I also offer consultations on land management, small and urban farm development, and your agriculture and homesteading projects.
I can help establish rotational crops as well as food forests and orchards.
Even a small farm can take a year or so to understand and establish.
Farming is a long-term investment in rewards for years to come.
There really are no shortcuts, but I can show you best practices and solutions to help you get started and succeed.
Prices are dependent upon labor required, your timescale, and in-person or virtual walkthrough of the land.
LAND CLEARING:
The sheep eat all the tender greens, I then come in and clear away brush such as the blackberry vines and other woody unwanted growth sheep may have missed.
Then, the clean-up crew includes chickens, Muscovy ducks, and 1 very fat turkey hen.
The birds evenly distribute any manure and eat insects and invasive seeds.
For land clearing, or projects requiring sheep, poultry, and rabbits, I prefer jobs that will last at least 3 to 6 months.
I live on site with my animals in a 27-foot long well-maintained travel trailer. My land clearing crew currently includes 3 full-grown dairy ewes, 1 very sweet little ewe lamb, and this year's lambs are due in March and April.
Dairy sheep are very prolific, so I am expecting between 5 and 7 lambs from the 3 adult ewes.
My livestock shelters are quick and easy to set up.
A 50ft x 50ft animal area can be set up or torn down in a day.
My animals are kept safe at night by 6-foot tall chain link panels for the birds and rabbits and woven wire fencing for the sheep.
All are watched over by Ebony, my very sweet and friendly 5-year-old livestock dog.
If your property is fenced (fencing must be at least 4 feet tall and secure) then the sheep and possibly the birds can free-range by day, but need to be put inside the taller fencing at night to keep them protected from wildlife and stray dogs.
